A:AnswerI didn't have that problem at all. It takes a minute for the transmission to initiate but then all the pages start coming together very quickly with no issue at all.
A:AnswerCHECK IN YOUR MANUAL THAT CAME WITH THE MACHINE. I ALWAYS KEEP A FILE FOLDER AND HAVE THE ORIGINAL SALES SLIP, THE MANUAL AND ANYTHING ELSE PERTINENT. I think it answers all your questions. As a matter of fact, if we all would just read the manual, or call Brothers directly, they do answer you.

A:AnswerYes you can. There is a kit that you can get on E-Bay that will allow you to refill the cartridges and reset the chip but be advised this will void your warranty and you will need a box of rubber disposable gloves as it can be a little messy.
A:AnswerYes, it does print wireless via wifi and is not hard to setup.
If you want to print via a direct connection to your computer so you are not using wifi, you will need to purchase a cable that is USB on one end to fit into your computer and the other end is the kind that is shaped like a house. There are no directions in the user's guide for hooking the printer directly to the computer but my husband found it online somewhere. Hooking it to the computer is easy, just use an available USB slot. To get to the printer's plugin, you need to lift the top up as if you were going to copy a page, and then there is a tab on the right side that lifts the next section up. You will see a place marked USB and the place where you plug in the "house" end is sort of hidden to the right of the words USB, and then the cord fits in the grooves and comes out the back. The instructions are not user friendly and the plugin is in a very awkward location.
Good luck!
A:AnswerThat depends on the ink cartridge you decide to put in the printer. I typically use the XL which gets me about 500 pages. The ink for this printer will last you far more than those of most of the other printers. My brother has saved me over $250 in comoarison to my last printer.
A:AnswerMy only comment is it may be a software issue since mine prints most jobs reasonably fast. If you had any previous Brother software on your computer I think you best totally uninstall it, then install the latest drivers from the Brother website, rather than from the provided CD. Good luck!
A:AnswerI learned the hard way. There is a difference. Please make sure you are using Brother OEM ink cartridges and if not remove immediately and replace. I do not work for Brother.
A:AnswerYou must invert the image on your computer. There is no setting on the printer for this. Scan the image on your computer and open it with the image editing software of your choice (Photoshop, paint etc.) The n under the edit tab you should see flip 180*. Click and print .
A:AnswerBased on the printer's setup guide, you would need a phone cord for faxing and a USB cord if you decide to print using USB rather than wireless. Otherwise there is an option to setup wireless without the need of extra cords.
I hope that helps!
