• Dear Chris; I get this question often. Yes, you can use it as a photocopier. No software is needed. You can pull this right out of the box, put the toner in, and get busy. The copy feature is only two steps. The toner cartridges for this one are $50 and $70 each. Great printer. True performer. A++ all around. My suggestion: go for it. Best of luck. Consultant Brian
