The included toner yielded slightly more than 1,000 pages for me, but that will vary depending on page content. The "High Yield" toner is part number TN660 and is rated at over 2,500 pages -- the average price is about $45, or about 2 cents per page. I see that many stores actually have a sign reminding buyers to get more, and sometimes have a box with the display unit as a reminder. Some toner manufactures make an extend use cartridge, which prints many more pages than the bast cartridge, for a slightly higher price.
