Kind of an "it depends" answer. That is to say, scan speed depends upon whether you are scanning black and white or color, and the resolution at which you are scanning. The limiting factor here isn't the speed of the Automatic Document Feeder... it is the scanning process itself. (Makes sense when you think about it: the scanning process is slower when you are capturing more detail and more colors). Regular monochrome documents scanned single-sided scan at about 22 pages per minute. For color, about 7. If your originals are double-sided you need to cut those numbers in half.
