• They removed the scan to email function in Firmware version 1.22.

• YES YOU CAN. In addition also go to Brother utilities on laptop and open it and click Scan icon. You select scan and it wirelessly scans to your laptop (select desktop folder). Then simply SAVE it to your laptop and attach to your emails. Multiple options to accomplish your inquiry (multiple not just one way)
