- Answer About 90 seconds if in sleep mode, though I haven’t measured it precisely. The quoted 14 seconds is for a printer in idle mode.

- Answer Several answers say that this is a laser printer - it is not. This is an LED printer. It uses the same type of toner cartridges as a laser and produces the same quality prints as one but it uses LED technology. I own one of these and like it a lot.

QuestionWhen I try to FAX, the sound of the phone line is a low hum with lots of noise. The FAX is not connecting to any phone number I enter. My 30 year old FAX works using the same phone line. Could the FAX modem in my new machine be defunct?

QuestionDo #10 envelopes have to exit out the back? I was hoping to place the back of the printer up close to a wall.

- Answer Nothing exits out of the back. The tray is on the bottom for paper or envelopes and labels can be fed in from the front and end up top, accessible from the front.
