“Does this printer support 5ghz wireless connection?”

• I just checked and my printer is not showing any SSIDs for 5 ghz networks, so I would assume that's a "no."

• The standard specification for Dual Band routers allow devices connected to different bands (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz) to communicate. Your computer can be connected to the 5 GHz band network and be able to print or scan (depending on your machine's specifications), to the Brother machine connected to the 2.4 GHz band. Your Brother machine will only connect to the 2.4 GHz wireless band. The Brother machine will not "see" or connect to the 5 GHz band of your router.
