“can I expand this with multiple addituonal 80" lightstrips or do i have to use the extentions? How many of the 80" can I connect together without the extension”

There is no way to connect these other than the extension. Also, in all reality, the strip by itself is only about 40 inches because I guess they count the power cord into it's total length. So, I'd take that into consideration for whatever your usage is.
