The hood exhaust has been designed to mate with a standard 3-1/4” x 10” rectangular duct. If a round duct is required, a rectangular-to-round transition adaptor must be used. Do not use less than a 6” diameter duct. -- The vent location will be either on top or at the back depending on which type of outside ventilation it is installed for. We recommend checking out the Installation Types section starting on page 11 of the Installation Instructions. The Installation Instructions can be viewed at the bottom of the Features tab on the Best Buy product page.
