Hi DougA - Thanks for viewing! We're excited to hear you love the design of our Café Model CYE22TP2MS1! We comply with federal and state chemical labeling laws. One such law is California Proposition 65, enacted by California in 1986 (Prop 65). This state law requires companies to provide a warning for thousands of consumer products, foods, prescription drugs, alcoholic beverages, enclosed parking facilities, amusement parks, furniture, and other everyday items. The presence of a Proposition 65 warning does not necessarily mean the product is unsafe or poses a health risk. Over 800 chemicals are on this list, including wood dust, nickel (found in stainless steel), nicotine, and alcohol. Additionally, even inaccessible parts can cause the warning. We can understand your concern; however, we do not provide detailed information about what causes the Prop 65 warning to apply. For more information, please refer to www.p65warnings.ca.gov - We'd love to have you in the family. Keep in touch at cafeappliances.com. Sue
