Hi there - thanks for reaching out about this great Café Refrigerator! This model features an automatic defrost system which eliminates the necessity to defrost the freezer or fresh food compartments manually. Refrigerators with automatic defrost have a drain tube that carries water from the defrost cycle to a fixed drain pan under the refrigerator. There is no routine maintenance for the defrost drain tube or pan.
