“I am wanting to recess my existing wall so that this refrigerator doesn’t stick out as much. I’m concerned about having enough space for proper airflow. Can you tell me where the vents are located and how much space I need between the wall and the vent?”

No notable vents in the rear. There's one vent on each rear side, one left, one right. GE says it needs 1/8 of an inch of clearance, on the sides, for proper ventilation.

The vents for this refrigerator are located near the bottom, however for proper air circulation, we recommend the following distances: 1/8" from the sides, 1" from the top, and 2" from the back.
