To properly measure internal temperatures, use a thermometer that can be placed in a liquid like a cup of water or a jar of pickles and leave in place overnight. If the temperatures are still running at 45°F and 50°F, you need service. Your food and milk would be spoiling prematurely at the temperatures you mentioned.
