Hi there, thanks for asking! Per page 5 of your installation instructions, you would need to allow 5” minimum vertical clearance from the cooktop bottom (or 8-1/4” minimum depth from the countertop) to any combustible surfaces, such as a cabinet drawer. There is a diagram available on that page as well as ADA compliant clearances for forward approach spaces.
