QuestionI am wanting to recess my existing wall so that this refrigerator doesn’t stick out as much. I’m concerned about having enough space for proper airflow. Can you tell me where the vents are located and how much space I need between the wall and the vent?

- Answer No notable vents in the rear. There's one vent on each rear side, one left, one right. GE says it needs 1/8 of an inch of clearance, on the sides, for proper ventilation.

QuestionCan you open the right fridge door while filling your water on the left fridge door? We do NOT want one that shuts off water dispersing every time you open the fridge.

- Answer Yes, the lower freezer door is very reasonably priced at GE's online website. The only downside is buying it through GE, they'll only sell it through service. So that means having to pay them to install it. Not sure what the installation charge would be, but knowing GE, it shouldn't be too bad.

QuestionPurchased in July and due to a remodel we just plugged it up mid August. The freezer this past week twice has ice caked all throughout the trays. We have ensured the doors are closed. Has anyone else had this issue? What could be the cause?

- Answer What is the temperature setting? I have not had an issue. It did take me a couple of days to understand the different temperature setting for the freeze and the refrigerator drawer.

- Answer Ensure that the water line is not kinked. If the refrigerator is pushed too far back, the water line will kink and cause problems both dispensing water and making ice.
