• Hello ShopperBee - Thank you for your question; we are glad to assist. The slots at the rear of the cooktop are for venting with the oven. If you are asking about steam, then you may want to invest in an over the range microwave or vent hood to help with water getting on the backsplash. Since this model has a radiant glass cooktop, there shouldn't be a ton of heat rising from the burners, unlike a gas cooktop.
