“I currently have a GE cafe stainless that has had so many burner issues. Has GE fixed the issue? Also, my stainless scratches so badly. Is the matte black more hardy for scratches? Or the updated design with full grate protect from scratches better?”

Hi there, thanks for reaching out. We're sorry to hear about the burner and finish issues you've had with your range. We can certainly understand the frustration. Whenever we receive feedback regarding a concern about one of our products it’s shared with and reviewed by our product team. Given that fact, we don’t expect you to experience any issues with our appliances. We also provide a warranty should an unusual situation occur. - Also, our Matte finishes are a highly engineered paint on metal (steel). We recommend that the interior and exterior Matte finish surfaces be treated similar to high-end coatings on automobiles. The Matte White and Matte Black finishes are not engineered for use with soap-filled scouring pads, abrasive cleaners any cleaning product containing chlorine bleach and/or abrasive cloths and paper towels. Use of these types of products may scratch and/or dull the Matte White and Matte Black finish. - In order to avoid scratching or damaging finish surfaces, they should be cleaned with a soft, clean cloth or microfiber cloth, warm water, and a mild soap or detergent solution. The appliance finish surface should then be wiped dry with a soft, clean cloth or microfiber towel to avoid streaking or water spotting. We do hope this is helpful! All the best. -Michael@Cafe
