• Yes...The K-cup attachment is only for making drinks that use K-cups. The hot water dispenser does however, come from the same liquid outlet though and is independent of the cold water dispenser.. It works really well, but does take a little time to heat the water.

• yes, you can simply dispense hot water for tea or whatever else

• Yes it will. The Kuerig attachment comes off and there are different heat settings for various hot items (tea, soup, etc)
