Well you should have a water proof or properly sealed outlet for Anything you plug in outside. If not just use it wirelessly and recharge it when battery is low.

No, This is completely wireless. Open the box, connect the Canary Flex to wifi and stick it anywhere outside.

Yes it can use an out door outlet or you can charge it ( like your phone) and have it run off batteries outside.
