Must have Canary base model. Also, will have to pay outrageous subscription costs to get notifications on your devices.

The short version is that it has a finicky connection to wi-fi and often needs to be reset. If you're looking to use this remotely, I'd recommend looking for a more stable system. I've heard good things about the Arlo product.

Please try again later.Yes - it is wireless, but they do need to be charged about every 20 to 25 days depending on the traffic in the room and how many videos it records It does have an app that comes along with it and you want to figure in the $99 annual fee for 5 devices into you budget. I think they have lower plans, but this plan allows you to speak through the camera, which is a nice feature. You can access the camera in a "live" mode through the app and it does capture video via motion. It is very easy to set up through your wireless connection

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello. I have the Canary wifi rechargeable camera. The only wires you have is electrical. But if you charge it you won't need it. It is a great camera that I use for my pets. Yes, you can set up with motion. But in order to have more than one day of back recording you have to pay a monthly or annual membership. I am able to speak to my dogs and can hear them also. I love it.
