Yes. The XL versions have the same dimensions as the other cartridges. Note that in black, the CLI-280 PGBK is wider. The machine won't let you seat it. Also putting the wrong color cartridge results in a blank slot showing in that slot.

Yes. It is the same form factor. Canon just don't doesn't fill the cartridge when it sells it as the standard capacity variety.

I stopped getting ink thru Best Buy since inks not get to be on time. With Canon now.

Yes, I changed out the regular for XL and fits just fine. The cartridge isn't any larger, so I really don't know where the extra ink is.
