It depends on your shooting preference. This lens would give you a equivalent close to 50mm in full frame and a faster lens (due to lower aperture). The 50mm with the adaptor DOES NOT affect the crop factor, meaning it would still give you a close to 85mm in full frame (better focal length for portraits). I have the 50mm with the adapter and it’s works perfectly. But I still want to buy this lens because the focal length is wider and more for everyday use. I still would use it for portraits as I currently use the 35mm f/2 with the adapter, but it’s heavy and I want a smaller lighter lens. Good luck
