Is this lens good for low light settings null

Yes. This actually takes great pictures in low light situations. I like to take portrait pics during the whole sunset time. The pics come out nicely. I also like to use background blur when taking pics at night in an area with lots of lights, like strings of lights to get the cool affect of each light in the background. Very fun lens to play with.
