Perfect for the zoo when you wanna get closer to animals from afar, the telephoto lens will give it a nice bokeh when zoomed in. Perfect for kids and running horses, though, if your subject is moving too fast and you wanna freeze it then it's up to your camera body's capabilities which requires a shutter speed of 1/8000 of a sec. But if 1/4000 of a sec is the limit it pretty much should do fine. PS. Don't miss the chance to capture the moon. It's a plus
