Yes, bundle is always cheaper because there are some "free" stuff included. It is a way to discount the 70D camera. Since battery is included with the 70D body, you will have to make sure the battery in the bundle means a second backup battery. That will be a nice addition. The problem with bundle is that it sometimes comes with some unwanted or less useful items. For some Canon EOS camera bundle or kits, it throws in some low quality lenses, which have a very good chance to be obsoleted later when your photo skill improves and you want to upgrade to lenses of better qualities.
