“How fast is the FPS? And at night time sports will I need a special night time lens or bigger flash ? What I’m trying to ask I guess is at night time football games , ( which most places have very poor lighting) with this camera will I need more aperture”

if you focus with 18-55 lens in night you definitely will see noise in picture. but this camera is doing great in low light with ISO between 100 and 12800. you will need a telephoto lens. i never tried it but there is a 55-250 lens for $299.
