EF lens mount adapters are sold separately, look for the deals where it’s included for free!

check the kit you are buying. some kits include the adapter. when you buy it separate it cost around 299 when you buy it in a kit only 99 you get a big discount. Good luck

The camera doesn’t come with an adapter. You’ll have purchase it separately, however, the EOS R adapter is around $100 USD and make sure to buy the correct one. The adapter you wanna buy is called “Canon EOS R EF- adapter” specificity for the EOS R AND RP. I believe Best Buy sells a bundle that includes the adapter as well, not 100% sure though. I ended up buying mines via eBay due high demand ever since the EOS R5 released.

Depends on the deal. Mine didn’t come with an adapter and I had to buy one separately. A week later they sold it with a free adapter and a Shutterfly deal which kind of ticked me off but oh well. It will list it on the description.

Best Buy’s current promotion on the Canon EOS R does include the $99.00 Canon EF/EFS to R Adapter which would allow you to use any Canon EF/EF-S lenses as well as some third party lenses. However, the adapter is typically not included during non-promotional periods so you would then have to purchase the adapter separately. As mentioned, the adapter allows you to use your EF/EF-S lenses with no loss in functionality.

It doesn't come with the adapter to use EF mount lenses. I recommend getting the one the control ring, as it greatly enhances the usability of adapted lenses. I don't regret spending the extra $100 for it.
