It can absolutely be a beginner camera, as long as you take the time to learn of course. The ui is pretty straightforward and easy to use after a little bit of fiddling around and learning it. Camera quality is superb and operates great in a variety of lighting conditions.

It can be because there's full auto but the price point seems too much for a beginner.

I would say yes, because is not too expensive compared with other models.

Not particularly, it's great for putting your foot in the door of high quality, mirrorless cameras, but I've used this for professional shoots and make a good living off of this bad boy. I'd recommend this to new photographers and professionals!
