• Yes, setting the Mode Dial to the green A+ puts the SL2 in Fully Automatic Shooting (Scene Intelligent Auto). The camera analyzes the scene and sets the optimum settings automatically. There are other basic zone modes, but I think this is the one that best covers point and shoot.
