QuestionAs a fax function, will this unit recognize a specific ring pattern (say two quick rings) for a single phone line that is a Ringmate line, 3 different phone numbers, each assigned different ring patterns coming in on the one line ?

- Answer No. Maximum size for the mf743cdw for printing is 8.5" x 14". Some Epson's and a couple of Brother printeres accomodate 11 x 17 but don't recall if any or those are laser printers. I was looking for ledger size capability too when I purchased my Canon mf743, but since I so rarely need to print that size I chose instead the better quality mf743 to replace my previous printer and figured I farm out the occasional 11 x 17 stuff to a commercial service. I'm very happy with the choice.

- Answer Connect the printer to your laptop or desktop, search for an app that scans and it can be uploaded to your desktop and save it. You can convert it to a PDF if you want.

- Answer It is completely dependent on the ports on your iMac.If your iMac has a USB port you just need the standard USB printer cable.

- Answer Not suggested, for photos, it will but you would be better with an ink jet printer , there are 4 laser cartridges in this machine good printer and copier, Wifi with phone, print to it with no cables Great copier
