When you use it for the first time, your printer settings will locate it if it's on the same network. It should download any drivers that it needs, and you'll be up and running in minutes!

I did read the manual, and there is a section on set up in MAC that looks comparably easy to the Windows set up. Canon offers all the needed drivers and software to run with MAC, and at a guess I would say that MAC is even better supported than Linux. This has been a great printer for us, we use it daily with Windows and Linux machines, and it has performed flawlessly for us. My feeling is that it will work well with your MAC platform equipment, but this is still only an educated guess.
