How does it catch paper. null

It doesn't - the paper ejects at the bottom of the printer, onto the surface it is sitting on.

It does open on top so that you can put the paper.

It doesn't. You have to be like a doctor delivering baby.

No paper tray for catching the finished document is provided. The printer simply ejects the paper out the front of the machine on the surface which it sits.
