“Issues with the "waste ink pad"(WIP) Ive read that other supertank printers have issues with WIP.The WIP absorbs excess ink,they said that the printer will stop printing when the WIP is full and it is not replaceable.would that be a problem here?”

printer can be reset, and pads can be removed and cleaned... there are videos on how to do it posted on YouTube Mine went out in 2nd year, had to reset... Canon Printer Reset - YouTube

What I did was (and I know it may not be reasonable for many people) I bought a two-year warranty for it. I figured that if it craps out on me (for that reason), I'd just get a new one.

Please try again later.That is absolutely true that once the inkpad is full after about 3 cleanings the printer will stop working and you can only reset it by sending to an authorized canon service center and the only autherized service center are Burnaby, BC - Calgary AB - Winnipeg MB - Mississauga, ON and Saint Laurent, QC. The service tech did tell me that the G3260 is consumer replaceable but I have no way to verify if that is true.
