• I use only Canon ink. Have tried cheaper, reprocessed ink BUT be warned that the printer can object and completely prevent operation by issuing a fatal error. Black is 240, 240 XL or 240 XXL; Color is 241, 241 XL or 241 XXL

• The printer comes with ink cartriges. Its an inkjet printer with separate cartridges for black and color ink.

• Note: Some stores offer ink refill services. You can also purchase ink refill kits and refill the 240 & 241 XL cartridges yourself (make sure to read specs to ensure compatibility)
