“Does the printer have to stay plugged in 24/7 or can I unplug it and just plug it in when I need it?”

I do not see why you can't unplug it.

I am not happy with my printer it waste too much ink. The resolution is good, but the printer overall was meant for pictures not copy. Will not buy any printer that does that. It is very difficult to understand.
