Q: QuestionI placed an order just now for this printer. My husband says it has to be compatible with 5G wifi. Ours is currently too old but is wireless. I can not see where this one says it is compatible with 5G just that it is wireless. I may need to cancel.

• A:Answer There ihas been some confusion with "5g". Mobile phones connect to your phone carrier, i.e. Verizon, Sprint T-Mobile etc. network using 4g or 5g speed. 5g is the latest speed upgrade to mobile phone network. You router in your home transmits 2.4g and 5.0g signals. I connected my Samsung Galaxy A10e and printer to my computer via the 5g Wi-Fi router setting (should also work using 2.4g setting). My phone is not on the phone carrier 5g network, it is on the 4g network.

Q: QuestionHello, will I be able to print with the black cartridge even when all color cartridges are empty?

• A:Answer I have not tried to, but you might be able to. BUT, CAUTION, using the printer when other ink tanks are empty, CAN DAMAGE your printer head unit that the ink tanks are placed into. When the ink tanks run completely dry (this is why the sensor warns of low ink), it will burn/damage the print head. I just replaced an older model Canon printer that stopped printing. Error code said to contact Canon support. On line forums showed that print head was bad. Replacing the print head cost almost as much as new printer.Replacing print head may not have solved the issue.(I did remove print head and cleaned with printer cleaner, no luck) I would be extremely and not run the ink tanks dry.
