“If the black ink runs out does that mean you can't then use the color and vice versa”

• When the color cartridge runs out of ink, the black cartridge will continue printing. I print everything in black and white because I can't justify paying for a color cartridge for the type of printing I do.

• I often print with black ink only. Haven’t tried printing with only the colored ink.
