how do i scan from my printer to my laptop null

If you go into your cannon utilities, there is IJ scan utility. That will open a window with scanning options. Make sure to do settings first to direct what folder you are scanning into. Once you do it you'll find that it is very easy. Good luck.

Scanning is done on the desktop computer or laptop based on loading the software from Canon website. There are no controls on the printer to scan. I scan from a Dell XPS8930 desktop and I could also load the software onto my Dell laptop if I wanted. WiFi connection works well with this.
