• Yes it did for me when I connected it to my WiFi.

• The documentation says that it DOES. However, mine is a good distance from the router and I could not get a stable connection so had to do 2.4 ghz (as it works better over distances). So, as long as your printer/router are a decent distance from each other, 5 ghz "should" work.
