how do you set up the paper feeding tray null

If you great an error msg, make sure you pull out the tray above the bottom tray holding the paper. Just pull it out as far as it goes. The bottom tray will go in great as long as you add the cover that goes on the front . I used my phone to scan the QR code box before I set it up.
