• Yes, the pop up view finder is one of the reasons that I purchased this camera and it cuts out that blank screen when shooting in bright sunlight.

• The ELPH 360 does NOT have a viewfinder, only the viewing screen on the back.

• The GH4 has a Great screen but very difficult to see in the sun. I use the Eye viewer in bright sun or you can buy a small black light box to help which Velcros on the screen and lets you view easier.
