    • Standardized Video Resolution: Full HD (1080p) (An approximated measurement of the product’s video resolution. This may not be the exact resolution of the product, which may be slightly more or less when using a pixel-by-pixel measurement.)
  • General
    • Brand: Canon
    • Model Number: 1075C001
    • Product Name: PowerShot ELPH 360 20.2-Megapixel Digital Camera
    • Color: Black
    • Digital Camera Type: Point and Shoot Cameras
  • Imaging
    • Image Sensor Type: CMOS (CCD and CMOS are the two main technologies used in image sensors. CCD, the older of the two types, turns analog light signals into digital pixels. This conversion happens without distortion, resulting in high-quality images. Newer CMOS sensors use transistors at each pixel to move electrical charges. CMOS sensors are typically less expensive, but also require more light to create distortion-free images.)
    • Image Sensor Size: Other
    • Total Pixels: 21.1 megapixels (Generally, the more pixels, the higher the image resolution and the finer the detail that can be seen.)
    • Image Resolution (Display): 5184 x 3888 (Refers to the number of pixels, both horizontally and vertically, used to either capture an image or display it. The higher the resolution the finer the image details.)
    • Digital Zoom: 4x (A digital zoom is accomplished electronically, with no adjustment of the camera's optics, and no optical resolution gained in the process. The existing data is not enhanced or added to, merely displayed at a lower resolution, thereby giving an illusion of an enlarged image.)
    • Optical Zoom: 12x (The optical zoom uses a combination of lenses that magnify the image prior to it being registered at high resolution by the imaging sensor.)
    • Low Light/High Sensitivity: true (High sensitivity digital imaging devices are designed to work in low light conditions to produce a high dynamic range image.)
    • Image File Format(s): MP4 (Standardized software format(s) of storing digital images. The type of format chosen for capturing and compressing the image can determine quality, level of detail, and storage space required.)
  • Focus
    • Autofocus: true (Allows the camera to automatically focus through the lens, rather than by adjusting the lens manually.)

    • Number of Autofocus Points (Up To): 0
  • Exposure Control
    • Shutter Speeds: 1 - 1/2000 sec (The length of time the shutter remains open when the shutter release is activated, expressed in fractions of seconds. The longer the shutter is open, the more light that is able to be captured by the camera sensor.)

Q: Can you see the screen if taking vacation pictures outside in the sun?

A: Yes, the pop up view finder is one of the reasons that I purchased this camera and it cuts out that blank screen when shooting in bright sunlight.

Q: Does the camera comes with usb cable? If not how do i transport the pictures to my computer?

A: It didn't come with one but I used my kindle cable and it worked fine. It also has its own wifi and an app with which you can upload to phone or computer over wifi without connecting with wire. Was not compatible with the latest apple OS.

Q: Does it have a lot of storage?

A: This camera does not have any internal storage.

Q: How is Canon ELPH 360 for landscape and macro close up shots of flowers etc in terms of detail, color and clarity? Is the image stabilization effective especially for macro/close-up shots for someone with a less than steady hand?

A: I can tell you that I used this camera on vacation to Europe and I used the zoom feature a lot. I also do not have a steady hand. If the zoom is less than 25 times (the maximum) the stabilizer works really well. Once I tried to zoom to the maximum, I had a little trouble and had to rest my arms on a post or rail to steady the camera. I posted a close up of flowers on the slope of a glacier. The zoom was probably pretty close to 20X. I had an image that was zoomed into 25X where my arms rested on a rail. Unfortunately, the web site would not let me upload it as it was larger than 5MB. But it turned out very well. Hope this helps.

Q: Does this camera do video? If so 720 or 1080?

A: Yes, when recording full HD it is 1920 x 1280: 29.97 fps.

Q: does this camera have a chargeable battery?

A: Yes, the camera has a chargeable battery.

Q: Does it take good night time photos? Is the flash strong enough so your pictures don't come out hazy or with that weird yellow tint

A: Yes.. I take a lot of pictures in dark areas (attic crawls etc) where there is little or no light, works great. I would say as a tip and if you seem to struggle with it, I suggest NOT using AUTO, I personally use SCN and select Indoors. I probably take several dozen pictures a day where there is little or no light. I have also taken lots of pictures at night with auto, it does a good job.

Camera is great… battery life is not

I charged the camera for about a day cause I didn’t plan to use it until the day after. Literally took like 5 photos to just try it out and get the hang of it.. try to use it the next day and it’s dead? My canon eos50 battery lasts for 3 events in a month until I have to charge it (guesstimating but it’s true) Camera takes great pictures love that it fits in my small bags not bulky like my eos. An option to have the flash always on would be awesome. But it’s super cute! Definitely worth it. And I love you can add the date and time stamp. And yes I will be buying extra batteries lol

    Don’t hesitate to order

I absolutely love this camera at first I wasn’t convinced cause I already have a canon PowerShot 130 IS I love my camera took vintage photos, made it look like my baby was born in the 2000s but then I grew out of it fairly quickly. I decided to pick up canon PowerShot 360 HS and honestly it’s the best decision I’ve ever made with my older camera. I definitely had to play with a Settings to satisfy my liking in pictures, since they did look vintage, but this camera, as soon as I took the first picture, it was perfect, especially selfies were great. It actually clears the tone on skin tones meaning with my old camera. For some reason it would take pictures as if my face was really red like if I had just washed it. Other than that I’m very satisfied with this camera a little bit newer than the one I previously had. I absolutely had no idea It had the feature of taking live pics like iPhone. Definitely do not hesitate to buy once it’s back in stock.

    So Much Fun!

Ok I am in love with this camera! I am in college and bring this camera with me everywhere. Everyone always makes fun of me since we have cameras on our phones, but having this forces me to take pictures without being on my phone, so I have more fun! It has this mode called creative shot which gives you six images for every picture, and adds random filters, cropping, and makes the pictures look crazy! As in crazy fun! The only downside is that the screen did break. There is something wrong with the camera internally, but Canon has a year-warranty where I could get it replaced for free. But that would mean giving up the camera for about 2 weeks and honestly I do not want to give it up!!! I always end my nights with a few hundred photos and loveeeee going through all of them. When I go out or am with my friends, I literally just point and shoot and I can't even the see what is on the screen but I have so much fun with it, and some of the creative shot filters and edits are amazing. I would definitely recommend this. Best Buy College Crew members receive products to write honest, unbiased reviews.
