“Does this camera take good pictures at night. I have an older model Canon and the night pictures that I have taken are not good. I have tried every mode and setting that I can think of but the pictures still look terrible.”

You would need a long exposure time setting or bulb mode, and likely a tripod as well. I don't think this camera has a bulb mode, which is difficult anyway without some kind of remote or cable. I think the longest exposure time on this cam might be 15 sec.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I went to the Utah dessert and spent hours truing to get good night photos. I tried every setting and sat there for over an hour. I even had a tripod. Nothing worked. It does okay for something like a low lit tent glowing the night, but I could not get decent pictures of the night sky.
