At the highest resolution, the files are about 6MB. You can choose lower resolutions to get file size down, but I don't use those. If I need a smaller file, I generally export the size I need from my photo processing software. The Export feature should give you a choice of resolutions while allowing the best resolution for the original photo. I have been able to get file sizes less than 1MB this way with little effort

Please try again later.I just purchased this camera about three weeks go before a trip to Europe, so I don't have much experience with it, but as I'm reviewing pictures, I'm finding them all to be between 2 and 10 MB. I haven't had a chance to check on the reasons as to why there is such a great variety, but I'm satisfied with the camera overall.
