“Is this camera Dual Capture, can it take still pictures while shooting video?”

• No it cannot. You can still take a still off of the video using software, but it's really inconvenient. My older Sony camera takes stills during video.

• Yes it can , but it will cause i quick pause that you can see on play back, I think all canon camera do that . My DSLR do it . if I make that attempt
