A:AnswerDo not gasp if running, climbing. If someone behind you is a loud talker with a deep voice or a high pitch squeak, that audio will interfere with your narrative. However, if you are vlogging and turn camera away from facing you, speak clearly, enunciate and most of what you said will be captured. Have had problems with some ambient noises: gusting wind, waves (the ones that bring out the yellow flags), passing boat motors (jet-ski, outboard, diesel rumble), spray fountains. But, wind in the pines, calling doves, may be a nice touch if you are not talking.
Mine captures sound in front, to the sides, and behind the camera body. I can hold the camera at arms' length and still get my voice while speaking at my normal volume.
Note there is no way to attach an auxiliary microphone.
If you can go to a store, get a demonstrator with an SD card, go outside in the parking lot or in a busy part of the store/mall and experiment. Next, play back on a computer or TV in the store. It is suggested that you have a true expert user lead you through the different parameter set-ups that influence video and audio.
A:AnswerI had this problem when my daughter first gave me the SX730 HS Canon Camera for Christmas in December 2018 when I opened the box and there was no transfer cable like I always used with my 2 previous camera's. After reading the manual and pulling my hair out (not really) I talked with a guy at Radio Shack who said they did not carry a transfer cable but get on eBay and QUE a search for " CANON SE730 HS CAMERA PHOTO TRANSFER CABLE FROM CAMERA TO COMPUTER". I did and purchased one for around $16 If my memory serves me. Works like a jewel.
A:AnswerYes. Note that the screw mount hole is metal and not plastic; meaning it takes effort to strip the threads or to yank the plug out of the body.
