I have used my this brand new camcorder in low light recording with better results than my 10 year old canon camcorder, but not night vision. I would have no idea on whether or not it would pick up on paranormal video.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Canon G20 camera is outstanding for daylight shoots or well lit environments. The optical image stabilization is great. For low light applications, generation 3 or 4 infrared scopes or monoculars are indicated. These cost 3 times more than a Canon G20. For half the price, you could get a Flir camera. For less money you could get a Canon outfitted for full spectrum in both infra red and ultra violet, then use I.R. and U.V. lights. A camera with a normal visible light lens and processor thrives on light. Even the awesome G 20 can only generate a grainy image in the absence of light.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It doesn't have night vision but it has a pretty good light sensor. You'd probably need an external light source. If that's ok with you great, but you'd probably do better getting a night vision camcorder.
