Not really, These phones are designed to work on WiFi (cuts down on data usage), and to have full Internet access. They are smart phones after all. While you can go into Settings and turn off WiFi and Data, it's that easy for someone else to go in and turn them back on. You might want to take a look at this blog entry for some options - MyMoneyBlog.com and search for "Talk & Text Only Cell Phone" in their custom search box. About the fourth or fifth entry will be "Lesser-Known Cheap Talk & Text Only Cell Phone Plans on Every Network – From $1 a Month" or use your favorite search engine and search the Internet for "These 6 ‘Dumb Phones’ Let Your Kids Talk, Text, and, Well, That’s It" this search will also point you to at least one other similar blog entry on Fatherly.com that could be helpful.
