Yes it does. My old phone was a cricket phone and I saved by not paying their upgrade fee. It comes with a sim card which i needed because my other phone's sim didn't fit the Coolpad.

No. The Cricket Coolpad is a prepaid set up only

Unfortunately Cricket cricket doesn't offer a plan without prepaid service..it is owned by ATT and is a prepaid company. They offer a great selection of phones both in the cricket stores & other stores such as Best Buy. Iv had many phones & companies I can't tell cricket is prepaid they offer many of the same services & more that a contract phone company offers for half or over half the price
