The wooden base is a 'coaster'. I haven't measured actual cups but I get 2 16/18 oz coffee cups out of it. So 32/36 oz.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.To say that it is a 5 cup coffee press is a bit of a stretch. Typically, a "cup" of coffee is considered to be 6 ounces of coffee with room for 2 ounces of cream and sugar, however, there is no set standard. The Caribou 5 Cup French Press has a maximum usable capacity is about 27 ounces of water leaving room for the coffee. The wooden base is NOT attached.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It does hold 5 cups of coffee which is 40 ounces. Each cup is 8 ounces. The wooden piece acts as a coaster for the glass press. It is loose for easy washinging.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The measurement of cups is pretty well standardized and consistent amongst all product manufacturers. Otherwise there would be considerable variability between different brands and recommendations for how to brew coffee. If you need some sort of scientific or quantitative volume, I suggest you search online or use a measuring cup to determine the volume from an existing coffee carafe. It is definitely not based on the drinking vessel itself as everyone has different preferences for the cup, mug or vessel from which they choose to drink from. AND, the wooden base itself is not attached.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Wooden coaster is not attached. I’d is might hold 2.5, 8 oz cups or about 20 oz.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This press holds about 40 oz of water, maybe a bit more. The wood base is not attached.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.wooden base is not attached. I tend to only use 4 cups of water. 5 cups tent to leak around the spout. you'll know what I mean if you get one. I really like mine and it's a great backup for my other coffee makers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The wooden base is NOT attached. Not sue how much water as I've never actually measured. ^^;
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This item holds up to five cups of water.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Realistically, it holds 16 oz. The wooden base is not attached to the unit. It is separate.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
